About: Desilluist is my sketch, art, and inspiration blog. The word is composite created by blending 'designer', 'illustrator', and 'artist together.' The fact that it happens to also sound like a small monster capable of stomping on cities is purely coincidental.
I am a professional designer and illustrator. Only sometimes possessing the urge to crush cities with my monstrous feet. Feel free to fire me an 'ask' should you have any questions, comments, or otherwise.

Hector Caffieri (1847-1932)
A watercolourist of incredible skill, Hector Caffieri was born in Britain in 1847. He later studied in Paris under Léon Bonnat and Jules-Joseph Lefebvre, both both champions of genre painting and traditional academicians. Their influence can be seen in the strong academic touches and incredible finish that helps define Caffieri’s own work. In particular, the level of attention and almost adoration given to the supple figures that make up the focal points of many of his paintings.
It’s an educational mermaid morning.
